Had trouble with the styrene tube I'd used for the rollcage - as usual Poly glue, superglue & Araldite just didn't work, and even Plastic Weld (Dichloromethane) wasn't up to the job of having the interior wiggled into the shell ... in the end I used strips of cotton cloth & epoxy resin as reinforcement - hopefully it'll just look like padding when everything is painted; oil cooler & fuel tank also added:
Added a filler neck to the fuel tank: ... and air horns: |

Finished all the aerosol work:
VW Alpine White on the body, roof # plate & lower exhaust Clear on body & roof # plate Satin black on tonneau, front license plate, top 1/2 of exhaust, window nets (really not convinced by those) VW Mars Red on the "fire extinguisher" "Chrome" on back 1/2s of lights "AA Van Yellow" on front 1/2s of lights The plan now is to concentrate on getting as much spraying in on other projects as possible before the weather turns (several driver figures, Blackfoot, Wild Willys IIRC). |
