i just looked for some 5mm machine belt and picked the one that looked most trust worthy this whole belt thing is quite confusing :S :pinch:

there are several offers of belts most PU but also one that has belts out of one piece who states those are better than the PU ones, might send a mail to some and ask around a bit what works best. :side:

You could try groups.yahoo.co...NIMAT/info ... although it does seem to be centred in the USA.

DB/SL PULLEY SIZE INFORMATION

Here is the pulley size information I have gathered over the years, of selling replacement belts.

Measurements are outside diameters

U.S. DISTRIBUTED DB/SL
Motor Pulley: 18 - 30 - 42 mm (can be put on reversed)
Intermediate Pulley: 18 - 30 - 42 mm
Spindle Pulley: 65 - 75 - 85 mm
Autofeed pulley: 42

Spindle to Motor: 80
Motor to Intermediate: 62
Intermediate to Spindle: 78
Spindle to Autofeed: 78

EUROPEAN DISTRIBUTED UNIMAT ( they did not necessarly use the DB/SL tag, and not all used this pulley set )
Motor Pulley: 18 - 30 - 42 mm
Intermediate Pulley: 18 - 33 - 49 mm
Spindle Pulley: 55 - 70 - 85 mm

That clears things up nicely (sarcasm :whistle: ) - my Unimat SL, which, according to here is Australian, but I believe to be a UK model, has US pulleys :pinch:

my diy belt and raw materials arrived today, so hope to get some time on the SL this weekend. :)

edit measured my pulley setup:

Motor Pulley: 18 - 30 - 42 mm (can be put on reversed)
Intermediate Pulley: 18 - 30 - 42 mm
Spindle Pulley: 65 - 75 - 85 mm (21 to autofeed)
Autofeed pulley: 42

Spindle to Motor: 80
Motor to Intermediate: 62
Intermediate to Spindle: 78
Spindle to Autofeed: 78
