Finally got around to get this one working (I think, I don't have any paint yet but air is flowing) :

Made a very basic platform from wood scraps and some paint (what's that stuff called for fences?) from a previous millenium :

Won't win a beauty contest but it's functional.
Also put an earth plug on the compressor.

:)

I think it was sold separately. It's a Gast (General Electric) type 0211.
Produces only about 1.4 bar but that should be just enough for the Tamiya Spray Works.

:)

Was kinda hoping it would yield enough to blow stuff clean but that won't work...
Anybody have an idea if I could attach a pressure vessel (Google translate) to this?
Seen examples where they use an old fire extinguisher.

Apparently another important characteristic is the free airflow per minute.
Calculated that it would be about 30 liters on this one (1.1 CFM), which should be okay.

That's a good idea. :y:
I'm just wondering if a compressor that can produce 1.4 bar will be able to put more pressure inside a container.

Googling around a bit, it looks like I'd need a whole bunch of valves and regulators for it. :S

The pressure vessel would mostly be for car cleaning...
Roaming the web some more gave me an idea had been toiling with before.

I have a similar garden sprayer. Stay tuned.

Stop messing about Edou, proper airbrush compressors can be had for 40gbp here, so you'd probably get one for half that where you are! Ebay's flooded with them at the mo.

In fact, there are even ones in the beauty section for doing nails, fake tan etc which are rechargeable battery powered & come complete with a proper airbrush for 30-odd quid.

Cheapest airbrush air supply is the spare tyre off yer car.
Ideal receiver for an airbrush compressor is old disposable MIG gas bottles.
The only other thing you really need is some sort of adjustable valve to regulate the airflow to the airbrush - it's not so much about pressure as it is about how much (Quantity) you can blast over the venturi to pick the paint up & chuck it out of the front (Obviously more pressure means more ability to poke more air up the pipe, but it's the flow of air that does the work - the more airflow, the more paint you get, & the thicker the mix you can spray)
