Thanks guys, not a real complicated build but fun to do nonetheless. :)
The kind of thing you can do when you have the flu. ;)
Gonna leave it a bit of a mystery but it'll be surrounded by great cars in it's next destination...

Got me going again on my runner too! :woohoo:
I put on some Italian foams (Ellegi Technics) that I've had for a while.
Don't know the brand but they look like good quality tyres.
And they're a bit bigger than the originals. That'll fill up the wheel space a bit more. B)
Should give some better grip too and prevent the huge amount of oversteer...

With all the leightweight hop ups it can be lifted with your little finger.
Look what it weighs with servo and tyres!

The 17T motor moved to my DF-01. Gonna run it now with a Sport Tuned or 23T Lrp S10.
And I can have some fun with the new hop ups also. Gonna fit the racing developed king pins first.

The devil is in the detail - so I replaced the normal nuts at the front with some blue alloy ones :

Small thing but it does look a lot better as a whole - here's the 'old' look :

I'll replace the flanged lock nuts on the picture with some Tamiya original also.
It doesn't really show here but that way the blue colour will match more.
Yes, it's nerdish.

Next is the RD king pin set. That'll make the steering independent from the shock absorption... I think.
Also restoring some front rims to fit the new (larger) Italian foams. B)

Gotta take a lot apart to fit new king pins :

I also wanted to put on a 3Racing blue aluminum servo horn but that turned out to be too big for a Group C.
There's not enough clearance at the bottom but I'm sure I'll find another purpose for it.
Quite a bit of work considering the only differences are these clips and the grub screws that can be left out of the knuckle :

The shelfer chassis has left my collection today.
My Tamiya heart is comforted a bit by the fact that it's new close relatives are a bunch of awesome cars ...

The runner also has a hopped down rear axle because of my F102 build.

But I'll try to set it all straight soon...

Thanks, I did a few more detailing after this picture. Like a black TRF spring :

And matching blue Tamiya lock nuts for the bumper :

What you don't really see is a whole bunch of titanium screws that make it light as can be :

Got a little heavier when I put in the normal rear axle (instead of carbon) recently...
But it's got some more (unsuspicious) cool hop ups.
Great chassis to work with...
