Man, it's a Hopper from heaven. Handles like a dream. Fast too with this LRP motor - and a good old NiCad!
Too bad either my camera is now completely broken or the (long charge) batteries were suddenly all empty. |

If there ever was an ideal round of RC fun , I went there this afternoon.
Perfectly timed by the capacity of a late generation Nicad pack. Too bad I don't have a better camera - and this one's not what it used to be either (purple stripes)... |

FUN!
I have to run with mine! For your camera, I use my smartphone (SONY XPERIA vintage too)for the inboard vids. This week end if I have the time, I put an ESC and the radio set. |

Drive it way north, if your battery capacity is big enough.
Chances are I used the wrong lighting settings on the camera. Last time I apparently made a video under fluorescent light. At least I'm hoping the next one (I'll try to get better shots of some double shock mod action) will be without purple lines... |

One thing I noticed about the rear suspension is that this double shock mod adds some nice characteristic when the front of the car is losing contact with the surface. The weight of the nose will then make the extra dampers compress, changing the rotation angle of the front relative to the gearbox. This will then actively contribute to keeping the front wheels on the road.
Other than that, I think the car could benefit from some smooth CVAs. The Frog shocks are still rather hard... |
