I did not show it here, but I actually sanded down the glue on the outside of the tyres, as that was quite simple, sanding down the rim at the same time.
But, sanding the inside just looked to complicated and time consuming to be worth it.

If I only had a lathe...
Maybe a cordless drill, coarse sandpaper, a steady hand (and a vacuum cleaner) could do the trick?
I'll give it a go if I find the time. :)

Chassis looks great btw, that msc arm looks new, did it come with the car or have you found a supplier? I'm looking for 1 for my Newmans :)

It came with the car, yes. The complete MSC was actually very nice. :cheer:

I'll have a look if I have one of those arms for you.

I never had to remove glue on foam tires but maybe with sand paper??? Very lightly ???

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate :)

Before (note the damaged edges) :

And after letting it turn with a piece of sandpaper pressed on :

B)

Best to take it step by step so it doesn't overheat (which will make the foam slightly melt and deform).

Thanks, restored them a while back but they really did turn out nicely. Together with some WD-40 I used (this acts like gripper and cleaner on foams but I'm not sure it's recommended for a shelfer) it totally smelt like a tropical island here.

Nice, Edou!
The Wizard's rims inner edge being wider than the foam will complicate the procedure a bit, but, I'll have a go at it :-)
