Congrats guys! Todd is it a road wizard ?
the rc10 is awesome Al, the early msc is from a f2 or a holiday buggy. And say us for tires. These one are for cc01 pajero or ta02t trucks like the chevy.

Cheers Flo, the MSC is from the Cheetah, F1 cars or Countach / Celica. It is not the SR/HB one, it doesn’t have the screw holes on the bottom.
These 2 MSC’s although mechanically the same have different metal supports, attaching points. I see a lot of eBay sales where they get these 2 mixed up.

Yes, 58069 from 1987, says it's the Road Wizard chassis. The RC10 is the newly released 40th Anniversary, and now I need to research a great vintage brushed motor circa 1985 to drop in! IG_tamiyaddiction

Todd, Kyosho have released some vintage LeMans brushed motors which would go well with the RC10.
Superb purchase, I’d love one of these.

I've seen those, but I was thinking I'd need to look at Reedy motors. I'm not really sure. I'd love to know what the winning cars from 1985 were running. IG_tamiyaddiction

Fair point Todd. I wasn’t a racer, but early to mid 80’s was my era.
I remember upgrading my HotShot with an ESC and a Demon motor. I was aware of LeMans, but never bought one and the upgraded Tamiya motors I think I always assumed they would be too expensive for 15 year old me. Let us know what you go for. |

Of course it figures - I have over a hundred motors now and the only one that seems right is a non-working Trinity Monster Horsepower 1985 World Champions, which by the way is my only non-working motor . It came included in a box with other parts, and I was excited until I wasn't, lol. IG_tamiyaddiction

Lots of nice stuff guys!
Todd, did you get the RC10 from Tower? I am in queue for one but it has gone dark (not available) so I believe I may have missed out. LOL |

You could replace the rotor if it is the problem. And lot of this period motors are yokomo base.
