And VW beetle rims? With front grasshopper 1 tires? Could they fit? For the chassis, I see a m01 gearboxes and a frp bath. Adjusted for the 2cv. Or a ww2 hybrid chassis. The m05 is cheap to. |

Spent today clearing out the garage.
Not the best, but I did get my hands on these two. Attachment not foundAttachment not foundAttachment not foundAttachment not foundAttachment not foundFord RS200, which would need a chassis with a 250 mm wheel base, roughly. Any suggestions of a suitable chassis would be very much appreciated. And Toyota Hi Lux, with a top on back. Both were bought in the mid 80’s. The Ford is Lexan, but the Toyota I think is fibreglass. Both were painted by the 14-15 year old me. But at least I had the common sense to re-enforce the holes on the Toyota with some metal sheet. Looking at the Toyota now, I’m wondering whether I could cut out the windows and put a clear plastic window in ?? And fit in a driver figure ??? Or is that just darn crazy. The Toyota body was on a Ford Ranger SRB chassis back when I originally got it. Now I’d be looking for either an original 3 speed chassis which would look better or I could use my Ford 350 hi lift chassis, but drop some of the height. ?? |

That Hilux body looks very much like Tamiya's original. Someone must have made a casting from an original, adding the top for the rear?

Hi Lars, I think that’s exactly how it was made.
I remember reading an article at the time in an RC magazine by the guy that did it. I got lucky and found one in my local model shop. I’ve got no idea how many of these were made. It definitely needs a respray and a tidy, but it’s in good shape. It just deserves a good chassis to sit on. |

I think most 1:10 touring car chassis will about the right dimensions for the RS200, I had one on a TT-01 chassis, I just measured my TA03F (on eBay ATM ) & that is 254mm ... open to offers if you don't want the body as that would make the postage a lot cheaper for me Re the Toyota, absolutely you could/should update it, I'm the inking the re-re windscreen/seat/driver should all fit? I don't think there's any such thing as a cheap vintage 3-speed chassis though, so be aware of the financial commitment to going that route, a dropped hi-lift would be in keeping I think |

Hi Jonny, I know the original 3 speed chassis is more of a dream right now, the prices are a bit eye watering. Which is why I thought I might be able to use my high lift chassis. I do feel that body needs the right chassis though. Thanks for the heads up on the chassis you’re selling. |

The RS200 looks to be a kyosho. And it should be able to be on all kyosho "big" 1/10th like the ZR1 wich use a buggy chassis basis.
Kyosho made a toy like this. I remember that Andyaus posted a pict of it.
