I also did although I considered the (modest) amount to be more of a symbolic contribution.
Then again - modest amounts together can also help Lars to keep the site up.

The forum Rank system has been updated to a much more Tamiya related system.

Bumping this as I wonder if it's time for tweaking the forum ranks again - both in terms of the ranks themselves (TBH if I'd realised Lars was going to adopt my list wholesale, I might have spent more than 30 seconds writing it ) - and the post count boundaries too (1,000 posts seemed a long way away 5-6 months ago, but an open ended system doesn't really work when people approach the last bar ...).

Currently we have:



... which gives a nice curve ... I'm not sure what the antonym of "asymptotic" is - but whatever it is, this curve is it - so I think we can assume the rank boundaries didn't happen by accident





Taking 5000 posts as the minimum necessary to become "Johnny 8 stars" - which probably covers us for a couple more years - the other ranks need tweaking like this:

1 ... 0
2 ... 20
3 ... 50
4 ... 150
5 ... 350
6 ... 750
7 ... 1500
8 ... 3000
9 ... 5000

... to get a nice curve too:




If, on the other hand, 10k is deemed an appropriate last level - which probably covers the forum indefinately - all the ranks need tweaking upwards more dramatically to get that curve again ...

Moving on, I tried to check all the slogans that appear on the first 150 Tamiya Cars - and there are fewer than I thought, even if you count "Hog Heaven" (which is not quite the same) ... with the "correct" capitalisation they are:

does it really matter? the members participation in the forum is completely not worth a "title". if the mods or admin want to add one to spice things up a bit then that is their perogative.
surely it contributes to pointless or non relevent posts just to increase post count?
