The diff you pointed out in the pic is a re-re. If you look at the instruction sheet, you'll see it says "Buggy Champ", not "Super Champ". "Buggy Champ" was the name of the re-released "Rough Rider".

As for the front bumper. I've seen a few of those "box-art"-style bumpers on ebay, not sure of price. These are also "modern day" hop-ups, mostly.

Yes the Pro-lines are vintage for sure!
But I think you should keep the diff in it. Those vintage one are very rare (and expensive). We're talkin like $300 new, and $150 used. Because of the limited availability of vintage diffs, many use re-re diffs in their vintage builds. At least it's an original Tamiya diff! Those rere diffs are also getting harder to find, and more expensive.

If you want to have a look at vintage hop-ups for the SRB's, you should visit:

www.studio68.no...sp?id=2932

A little bit down there is a list of parts I have used on my "CRP Superbuggy" build. If you click the names, you will find info on more parts in each of the categories.

The red shocks are Kyosho CB-88/89 shocks from their vintage 1/8 scale buggies. Those were THE shocks to have back in the early 80s, and if bled and sealed properly, they are up there among the best, even today. They were the forerunners to the famous Kyosho gold shocks. (hehe, I managed to sqeeeze in a little Kyosho talk, even here    )

I have some axles like these. They are blacked and not alloy color

If they are black, they are the hardened steel pins that came with the Super Champ only. Those are the ones to use if you want to run it. The standard pins bends very easily.
