Shell number 3.
 

The paint came off this one a treat. I go back to the point on prep work. The plastic felt really smooth once the paint started sliding off. So I suspect no real prep was done, just sprayed the paint straight on.
 
This is after the first cycle of graffiti remover.
 
Apart from the obvious issue of the back end not being attached to the rest of the body, the paint was covering up a massive crack.
 

 
This is shell number 3 after a second cycle of graffiti remover.
Fingers crossed these will dominate my work bench for the time being and I aim to see how many bodies I can make presentable.

We can call this shell no. 4. But I think this will end up getting chopped up. The front end may well get chopped off this and replace one of the poor front ends on another shell.

It looks nice.

Shell number 4 is a real shame, Flo. The plastic is still all great, but it’s a real shame the roll bar is totally trashed.

This is what 7.5 Cheetah bodies looks like, but being realistic they aren’t all going to make it. Not any time soon and not without some very creative thinking.
 
I’m hoping to get 5 out of all of this.
I’m slowly going through everything I’ve accumulated and I’m now working out what I’ve got and most importantly what I’ll need to make to complete these.
I think I’ve said all along that I would need to make some replica parts and I’ve always wanted to learn to make moulds and cast pieces in resin. I hope I’ve got that correct.
And yes I’ve got the chassis’s stashed away for each body.

I’m sure there are easier ways of doing this, but there’d be nothing learnt from it. I did actually consider making one body and then selling the rest off and that may well happen, but at the minute I’ve got the time to invest in this so let’s give it a go.
