Looks great man, paint and decals look excellent for whatever version of " correct " that is ;) it is certainly better than any of the old catalog photos. To be fair though we most likely have access to much better materials and processes now. They were just putting it together for the photos and perhaps some were even the prototypes, such as that Super Champ you mentioned.
It is sort of like when these auto specialty shops of today " restore " a classic car, they take forever and fuss and fight about the smallest details like trying to get the grease pencil marks and correct amount of overspray on the chassis and in the end produce a car that is much better than it ever was when it rolled off an assembly line oh so many years ago.
