Not quite rastafari yet though so that's alright. :lol:
The white lines look great. Very nice detailing.

Love the white striping, it makes de lines stand out and seperates the green from the orange.

Put some re-re decals on the spare shell ... first time I'd used them & they're not very good - acres of clear around the ones thar are suppose to go on as a set, so I cut them out individually ...

Note to Mr Tamiya - if you're not going to precut them any better than that, don't bother :whistle:

Masking took the best part of an hour this time - I'm getting slower :whistle:

First coat of VW "Jazz Blue" Pearlescent on, tail up:

Second coat, nose up:

Third & final coat, roof up:

Looked better in a brief bit on sunshine - looks really orange peely in the photo, but it's the metal flakes, promise :D

Whipped the masking tape off:

All went fairly well apart from a couple of bits of peeling on the right rear fender:

Too big to cover with line tape, so I squirted a bit of paint out into the cap & dabbed it on with a brush:

Had a go at lining the slightly wonky edges on the original shell ...

"Before":

"After":

Took so long the light had gone by the time I'd finished & I had to use the flash:

Kyosho 0.7mm line tape - much better than making your own from seld adhesive vinyl:
