This weekend I have my Grandson staying and yesterday after watching him build a lego model I asked if he would be interested in building an RC model, he was keen. To get him a bit more interested I charged up the battery for Lunchy#2. It was getting dark so we only went out to the back of the garage for a quick test drive. He said he liked having a drive.
So today I Charged the other battery up and put some old wheels on Lunchy#1 and added an esc and dumborc receiver. Makes it nicer to drive. The tyres have flat spots but I will sort that out with some sponge. For now I just want to give it a run. We went out to a local Chinese buffet restaurant carpark as its currently closed and we had a good blast. Me with red Lunchy#1 and My grandson with black Lunchy#2 It was his first proper drive where he could open it up. My Grandson driving Lunchy#2 Me driving Lunchy#1 He rolled it a few times and eventually the test 3D printed mounts gave up. He decided it was safer to stop as the body wouldn't stay on. So I had another 10 minutes before the battery started to fade. We then drove home. As my grandson had broken the mounts it was only fair that he replaced them, I had some spare prints so he put them on. Lunchy's are not the easiest or most stable cars to drive so for a first time driver he did really well, and for fixing an RC car for the first time he did really well too. I think he is on the way to having his own at some point. He wants to help build Lunchy#3 so when its time he will be there. Lee Regards

Yeahhhh Lee you did it awesome. Parking isn't the best place to run a lunchy to. But for a first, your grandson has abilities. That's funier than the video games.

The right one is a onroad early version with the blue shocks. One of my favourite chassis.

I rewired all my motors. Rebuilt 3 and puted in the trashcan dead ones.
