Re: Seller reviews - share your experience! 12 years 9 months ago #1606

If there is another store that sells the parts, I'd try to cancel the order and get the parts elsewhere.
Some sellers like to play around with higher shipment cost and lower prices because (I think) this might be to their advantage with the fee they have to pay eBay.

Did this seller mention any combined shipping in his ad?
Btw - best to send your requests as an eBay message and not use your regular e-mail... ;)

The purchase prices are equal to the cheapest I could find, but shipping is cheaper, which is why I bought from him.
Combined shipping is mentioned in the ads.
I sent two messages through eBay first, and one email message direct.

I need the parts for the new racing season in two weeks time.
I would've bought from another seller for a few dollars more if I'd known I'd be ignored like I have been.

Wasn't the request for payment automated by eBay?
Maybe the seller is absent and is that why he will not respond.
If he mentioned combined shipping in his ad I think the problem lies elsewhere than just being ignored.
What can his eBay store or feedback maybe tell you?
Btw - nothing wrong with naming the seller - also in case of a bad experience. ;)

At least you would be justified to cancel and order elsewhere to get your parts in time.

Recent feedback has mentioned a 10 day response time for combined shipping.
11 negative and 12 neutral in the last month.
I was reluctant to name the seller at first, but I feel I should now after reading the feedback.
He has 2228 positive feedback in the last month, but still...

steggun29 has let me down.
He better act quick, and redeem himself.

I know this seller too - I have ordered alu king pins there twice. Also called Everything Rc and hobbyfulfillment.com.
Have to say my orders arrived quickly but of course they were simple.

Looks like he has some dissatisfied customers. More than incidentally (postal errors) is too much and unnecessary I think.
They're all due to lack of communication when I look at the feedback.
Remember myself his items were quite pricey btw.

I'd maybe contest the purchase because of your time limitations.
Never fun but sometimes necessary. :(

He better act quick, and redeem himself.

Hopefully this is also still an option...

Last feedback I got from him said to mail for a discount on the next order.
Hearing this, that might not be the greatest plan.

He's one of the few sellers though that gives a positive feedback as soon as you paid.
Not many do this although it is actually how it's supposed to go...

Very frustrating.
All I want is a set of rims/tyres, and 2 decal sets.
I've never experienced hassles like this on evilBay before.
If I was in no rush to get the parts, I wouldn't mind.
I'll give him another 24 hours before I take it further.
Hopefully it doesn't come to that. :pinch:

I would like to add another seller :

HOBBY-JAPAN

Quick shipping
Very good communication
Low prices
Lot of items...

David :)

There is one seller on ebay named "Hobby-Japan" but he has a lousy feedback and is no longer registered.
Is that the one??

Sorry for not giving more precisions

stores.ebay.fr/...pan?_rdc=1

Edou is probably right because I didn't search some vintage parts on his store ...
Sometimes, when I can't find some items on the bay, I purchase in this store :

www.modellbau-seidel.de/

The shipping cost is little expensive (10

That's a very nice list, Waterbok! :)
Surely gonna check out these links...

Seidel is a great store with an incredible assortment of parts.
The info alone that can be found on their site is worth a visit.
They always reply your mail and even help you out with technical info.
Only real disadvantage (as mentioned before) is the basic shipment cost.
If this store would send smaller purchases by regular mail also it would be an ideal option.

I didn't search some vintage parts on his store ...

It's not always easy to restore a car with all vintage parts.
Since many cars have since been rereleased and some chassis are still in production even, getting new parts for the restoration can be a good alternative to the sometimes hard to find original items.
Without the intention to offend the hardcore vintage fans. ;)

A store like Hobby Japan can be very useful for this.
One of my favourite stores for new parts is RcMart or Dinball on eBay.

www.rcmart.com/catalog/

The inventory here is incredible. Prices are usually lower than anywhere else.
Being such a big store, one would expect communicating with them can be difficult.
But the opposite is true. They reply to questions surprisingly well and solve any potential problem perfectly.
Processing orders takes a bit longer here so shipment is a bit slower than other stores.

One more detail about RcMart - they very often offer really good prices with free shipping on eBay.
The price of the item itself might not be the cheapest then but together with the free shipping, they tend to come out on top.

This would be my own top 3 favourites so far :

#1 Victor101s Rc Car Shop (Lightwatermodels)
#2 Jr-Rc (Jason's store)
#3 RcMart (Dinball)

This list is nothing near complete of course. Some stores are very close together in scoring points.
Also depends a bit on what you're looking for at some point...
