I've always received my items about 2 weeks (JAPAN-FRANCE)
There's an insurance of the shipping and the package is always well done.
It's one of my favorite seller with Captain Hobby

Thanks again for the info. :)
At the moment that's the only seller that has all the items I'd like to purchase in stock...
Prices seem reasonable enough.

I know I'm a little behind on this topic but here's my experiences:

I've bought a quite a few items from Tamiya-RC. His prices are reasonable and sells you exactly what's in his photos on his listings. They come packed very well and in great shape. I've never been disappointed with his stuff. Sometimes he'll communicate and sometimes not, but the buying experience with him has been very good. His shipping is a little high, but he uses an express shipping method. I live in the USA and get his packages in 2-3 days once it ships which is super fast from Japan to here.

Another one is vintagecorp. He's not a large seller and sells other things besides RC items like vintage toys, etc., but his prices are also pretty reasonable and also has tons of pictures on his listings from all angles, contents, plus any wear and tear, etc. that might be there. And he probably does the most thorough and secure packing job I've ever seen. He also gives the option of either the cheaper air mail shipping or the more expensive express mail shipping. His communication is very good and keeps you posted on your order.

I've also bought from jr-rc. His prices are by far the cheapest. But obviously, as others have mentioned, there's no communication whatsoever. And he has a number of the same items that he sells over and over again, but his pictures on his listings never change. They're always the same pictures for each item each time he lists them. Although he describes what problems or wear and tear there might be with the item, you never get to see the actual item he's listed. So you're really not sure how it's going to look when it gets to you. The items I've bought have been fine, but it would be nice to see it before making the purchase...

Thanks for the update, breese24. :)

Posting a bit of a warning for seller CTY300 on the basis of this topic :

Strange selling techique on ebay..

Sorry for another question (I asked them also) : do they send by regular mail or registered - with tracking maybe?

I'm thinking insured is always registered - and tracked...

Tell me about it - I didn't get a reply to the simplest question - if it was known when to expect a Manta Ray ball diff again.
Looking around for about a week, I finally got the item elsewhere...
Then later that day I saw that he had them in stock again. :S
Still - when you go for basic NIP parts, he's always a good choice I think.
At least he's consistent - even if you're a regular customer, you're being ignored most of the time.

But what a world of difference from Gary at Victor101's RC Car Shop I have to say.
Saw a combo of three items that I liked in his stored and mailed him about it.
Got an answer the same day and a great discount on the parts. :)

No problem, I thought I'd give the shop a try before plugging it. ;)
A while back I ordered some small parts from them but these were out of stock.
I got a quick notification of that and a refund though.

So I didn't hesitate to order something there again.
At a really good price and this time with fast shipment. Also well packaged.
For smaller items they use SAL (regular Japanese airmail) which keeps the basic shipment cost low.
I paid about 170 Yen = 1,70 = $2,50 for postage of a Manta Ray ball diff. :cheer:
They also ship with EMS courier service...

Other than that they communicate very well. Excellent for that matter.
Stock info within a few hours - at most a day. That last one came with an apology for the delay.
They even got back to me on the length of an alloy servo saver horn - taking a measurement and giving me an update.

Don't think they've been on line that long. Would be nice if the site had a wishlist option... :silly:

"Patpatto - RCSoLo ToysHobbies"

Looks like a nice store indeed. With some very tempting F chassis parts for example... :woohoo:

Also had a good transaction with medium sized seller rcplatform for some nice 3Racing alloy parts.
First experience with rchobbies4life is that they took a while before posting so that is becoming a bit of a wait.

Btw - the ratio of purchases to times of being ignored by jr-rc is getting a bit silly... :silly:
