That screen dump looks familiar - I was getting it lots just before xmas, & I just put it down to my shockingly slow broadband connection - a quick refresh when it put that message up & the problem went away. Hasn't done it since xmas, but yeah I have noticed my PC struggles loading pages on this site mare than any other

Thanks for that, eddrick. I think both issues aren't related...
Slow page loading would be the result of Lars woking on the parts database at the moment.
Interesting you could solve the other problem with a page refresh...

Site went off line last night and I checked the link that was suggested earlier.
As expected, Tamiyabase itself was not off line. Despite what the announcement says.
It's a local thing somehow...

If that is the case it is most likely that something has hijacked your DNS.

Easiest fix for that is to run a couple of freeware utilities.
Combofix is one:
www.bleepingcom.../combofix/

Also run Malwarebytes (The free version is fine)
www.malwarebytes.org/

What antivirus program do you use? I have pretty good luck with Microsoft Security Essentials:
windows.microso...s-download

The most likely cause for what you are experiencing is that a redirect is installed on your computer that runs any internet traffic through a third party (usually for tracking purposes). If their redirect server is down (and it often is), it will not let you continue to some sites.

Anyway, give it a shot. Hopefully this is helpful and nor repetative info that you have already tried.

I personally think it's a connection time-out - there's no response in the allocated time, so it's reported "server's not there".
I used to get it a lot when I was using Internet Explorer rather than Firefox (But only on this site?) & I could usually get the pages to load eventually by doing multiple refreshes.

No expert, but I suspect the refreshing fix is to do with the browser saving borders & graphics etc on the first load, then only loading stuff that has changed when you refresh it, ie it's loading less data which takes less time, ie within the "timeout" period. It's a trick I learned from when my connection was a bad dial-up one

I tried refreshing - and clearing cache as well. Didn't work for me...
Couldn't get on the site again all day yesterday after some point in the afternoon.
Today started with a blackout too.

Edou, have you gone through the steps listed by Phandalyon?

I checked the link he posted - that said it's just me (which doesn't mean it's me of course)...
But it reports the Tamiyabase server is up.

I was thinking of these three links, to search for malware?

Ah yes, I overlooked that one...
I'll check it out but I've done several deep scans with Avast. And more superficial ones with Iobit.
My computer seems to be clean at least.

This has been going on for a month and you're still insisting your PC is not the problem?

Why ask for help if you're going to ignore it? :pinch:

So once again, my suggestions were:

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (www.malwarebytes.org)

Spybot Search & Destroy (www.spybot.info)

AlternateStreamView (search on www.nirsoft.net)

Trend Micro Rootkitbuster (trendmicro.com)
