And believe it or not, I actually drove it up there. Going down the other side was a bit more difficult though...

Man, there's so many cool disciplines. And so little budget for it all... :pinch:

OK, so because I'm switching to small soft pack LIPOs, I've done away with the battery holder, and made space for the drop bed mod. So here are some pics of the progress so far:

Just a quick picture to show the idea of the toolbox in the front of the bed, to house the LIPOs.

Great custom stuff. B)

I kind of like the roll bar though - will you be putting that back at some point also?

Nice work :)

TBH though, I don't know why Tamiya can't do truck beds properly in the first place

I will be putting a roll bar back on the truck, just a custom made version. I will fabricate something as soon as my LIPOs arrive. I need them to check sizing for the toolbox.

After taking the F350 out trailing a while back, I met an unfortunate fate. It rolled down an embankment, and smashed the drop bed to pieces.

After that, I decided to rethink my idea of making a drop bed, and rather make it a truggy.

Oh, and as you can see, I've gone brushless, and completely 4 link all around, not just on the back anymore.
