Ha ha ha. Walter is a legend behind the wheel. I would have smiled from ear to ear if I was that person.

I spotted the Vallejo face painting airbrush paint sets recently, Iām still happy that I got the āFantasyā set as it was the only one that included a guide for female faces (trying out here on the Tamiya Multipurpose driver), but the male face guide (which Iām trying on a number of spare heads & the 3 drivers I need for current projects) is giving result that are a bit too āundeadā for my purposes & Iām going to have to liven them up before proceeding with he brushwork/washes parts of the guide.
I donāt think my only (cheapo) gravity fed airbrush ever had much sensitivity on the trigger, but there was no way it was going to be up to this, so I bought an āexpensiveā (for me - ) one to give me a chance ā¦ the flaws are now just down to my lack of skill/practice ![]() Ā Attachments: |

Bought a set of Vallejo basic colours so was able to (almost) finish the female & male faces - I need to get some gloss clear (or "Varnish" as Vallejo call it) to make the eyes look wet.
I would say the "female" tutorial has extra steps that could be simplified, as it is it's more of a faff than it needs to be - but I do like the result. The "male" tutorial though, that just wouldn't have worked for RC drivers, and by the time I'd toned it down to the extent I was ok with, they're a bit poorer than I could have done with my previous three shades & a wash technique. On the other hand, I do have hopes for better results with the "Figure" set (not that my painting is ever going to be anywhere near the boxart) - and I probably should have started with that set TBH. The three 4x4 driver figure are still work in progress ![]() Attachments:
