Nice, Alan!
I just decided my next build is a Taisan built from the 47321 GT2 kit. Signature now gets correct formatting if you edit it in your Profile. Use normal BBcode if you want.

Very good idea Lars, as it happens I was looking through my NIB 47321 box last night to see for Purple Rob what was same or different between the two, only things I could find was chassis tub marked ABS, all sprue/trees have date stamps but nothing on plastic parts themselves and the spoiler/mirror sprue is white plastic as opposed to black, also the tyres are slicks rather than treaded. I didn’t open the metal parts bags, but nothing looks different from what I could see |

So on to the next stage for tha Taisan
I was recently lucky enough to score an Alfa 155 (58128) for a good price and it had 3/4 of an FRP chassis fitted, the steering assembly was missing So I thought I would allocate the FRP chassis to the Taisan Here it is after it was stripped down, a little tired looking to say the least So time to get to work with the wet n dry and see how it turns out

Thanks, great info!
BTW, both the Taisan and 47321 has slick tyres?

So a little bit of wet and drying (well a lot in reality) and things are looking ok, decided to use a black sharpie to colour in the whitish edges and chamfers and also any deeper marks
Now it’s coloured in its back to more wet and dry And finally they are ready for the next stage, has turned out better than expected so far |

So I decided as pretty as they looked just sanded and natural it was not practical and needed some lacquer thrown at them, a few light dust coats were just right and left it with a nice satin finish, down side, it’s now protected from grease, water etc, but it shows up any left over damage very very well
All in all I’m rather happy with how it turned out, and as a bonus I managed to save the original FRP dual deck chassis sticker, to be affixed later |
