Care package arrived from RSA today - thanks Louisbaby :) :y: - so I made a bit of progress...

Made a new motor wiring loom with the replacement switch:

Started on the gearboxes...

But kind of stalled here - waiting on another guard from Japan ...

... & my pinions aren't really cutting it - one on the left is a lot narrower than the teeth on the spur gear, one on the right is too long to close the gearbox up

Hoping for some spraying weather tommorrow, the only time it's stopped raining this last week was when it snowed on Sunday

Awesome work dude. The package arrived quicker than I thought.

I'm hoping to spray the primer on the Pajero this weekend.

My pair of little Confederate flags finally arrived ... I'm just curious how the parts I ordered from Japan (6000 miles away) and the parts LB kindly sent me from South Africa (also 6000 miles away) took less than a week, but the flags, coming from Swansea (250 miles away) took 2 weeks

I ordered 4 Spektrum receivers from the States (New York), that took 7 weeks to arrive here. But a Lunch box aluminium rims from Hong Kong arrives in 9 days...

weird...

I remember waiting for a parcel to arrive from the US of A - I was kind of in a rush for it, so I watched the tracking info - for a week it was getting further away - New York, Los Angeles, _Canberra_, Dusseldorf, Heathrow ... :S  :silly:

Whoops, I got distracted there ... what i meant to post was:

25 ways to spot a fake General Lee ... this is going to fail on #'s 15 & 18, maybe #25 too

Still waiting on the M4 grubscrews so no more progress on the chassis ...

A little on the bodwork though:

Made the number decals (going for 02 instead of 01) out of layers of black & white vinyl:

Primed & sanded the body ready for paint, not quite sure how I'll fix the flags yet ...

First coat of colour, still got 3 more to go so I hope the colour improves ...

... as it's not at all what I expected from the name & the colour on the cans:

I'm gonna say it's a Bullhead jinx thing - I spent ages finding the exact match of BLUE paint for mine, but when I put the paint on it came out Cadbury PURPLE! What gives? Never had that problem before, or since...
