Super Hotshot at the end of the run and before getting cleaned up




Not sure what the driver was able to see, he was probably faster than usually while seeing nothing, as usually, he looks afraid :-D

I love it.

This is something I've been messing around with to add "Neon" lights to a computer case.  Which got me thinking, scale it down a bit for an R/C body.
So, did a quick mock-up of some under body lighting for my next build (new kits coming very soon).

A 20 minutes run with the Turbo Scorpion tonight, just before the sun goes down...

I finally be able to remove all the old paint on the mb body. Filled unnecessary holes and sprayed a nice red on it today. Tomorrow, I don't know if I'll put a clear coat because of reactions with the paint. But the result is nice. It's not the classic Ferrari red. But it looks nice.

Albert is now ready to race again.

Another Turbo Scorpion run today on the freshly cutted grass. The track design is good,and I start to get the proper way to do turns within the slope... On the other hand, I need to secure one place as there is the wall of the sandbox which is in the way of a missed turn; As the speed goes up on the track, it might finish badly at some point...

I need to think more about my track design

Spend the last 12hours 3D printing a new bumper and side fenders for a vintage Ligier JS9.
Needs a lot more sanding.

 

What do you guys think about 3D printed parts for vintage models?
Is it sacrilege or an acceptable solution to expensive and hard to find parts?
