Few seconds of work to add a variant of the rear lights holder for the Super Hotshot, with the ability to add a personalised license plate (30*15) such as the one you can get in one German online shop very well known on the internet...

The parts has been added among the already published files on Thingiverse...

My son asked me to add lights to his remaining unequipped cars (Slash and DT03)... I know what I will do next. I'll start by the DT03, as I want to do it also for mine. The intention is to use the front shock tower and and the U fixing the front lower wishbones, and allow the use of standard led buckets as you can find anywhere on the internet. And for the rear, I would eventually include them in a wing...

The Slash will be another story: I would prefer to stick to the original placement of the 1/1 version, which means within the body (and this one is painted already, so I will have to think twice about how to process this)...
I buy kits to built and ru(i)n them :-)

You can remove paint on the body with lidl nail varnish remover without aceton.

The problem is not much to remove the paint of the body, but to remove just enough and not too much... in other ways, I need to find a proper process to protect the paint where I don't want to remove it... Maybe a vinyl cutted mask (the inverse of the one I would use to mask for painting the lens)...

Vinyl mask would be my choice as well.
Clay of some sort would probably work as masking depending on where.
I know some have used clay to mask off light buckets before paint.

There is many ways to skin a cat...

Ran my Javelin on the home track today. I had the camera on my head and expected to get some footage. Seems I forgot to remove the lens cap when starting filming :-D
That being said, the 13.5T motor is perfect but tend to send the front wheels in the air on the uphill side of my track (the garden is on a slope, so there is area where I do not have the choice it goes either up either down), and the car remain quite easier to control than a DT03 or other cars as long as I make sure front wheel are grounded in the uphill area before I try to turn...

On the side note, I need to make the front led bucket attachement stronger than it is currently, as I broke the led holder. I will design a V2 soon :-D.

My Javelin is not a shelf queen :-)

A full run today on the garden track, some footage, I will have to mount a video tonight...

A small vid with the track in my sloppy garden. It's a track I draw with the lawn mower, set at its lower cut ability. There is 1.3 inches difference between the track and outside the track.
As the garden is sloppy, turning is always a challenge...
